The three pieces of graphic design I chose were the Jurassic Park logo, Lunar Vine wine labels, and the Barack Obama "Hope" poster.
The piece of graphic design I chose to critique is the Jurassic Park image and logo. This is such a good piece of graphic design for numerous reasons. I think that the image is very well known, with a very recognizable form. It pairs a clean image of a dinosaur's silhouette with a very readable, yet unique text. All of this is encased in a bold red outline.
This logo sends a clear message: "Jurassic Park." When you see the logo, even if you have no idea what "Jurassic Park" is, the receiver can immediately assume that it has to do with dinosaurs.
